To begin with the "ancillary task", we first picked up a "digi-pack" template from the internet.
After selecting the pictures for the "digi-pack", in order to give it an artistic look, we used "Adobe Photoshop Cs6" version and went in the"brush strokes" where we used "crosshatch", in order to give it an artistic touch. We decided to put this picture inside the digi- packs cover.
"The selfie picture". We decided to put up this picture at the back side of the digi-pack since it is one of the most lively scenes captured and thus is a happy scene. We used adjusted it's shadows/highlights in "Adobe photoshop Cs6".
This picture is from the "apple scene". We decide to make this one as the CD's cover as it looks perfect on the CD. The purpose of turning it into black & white is because it gives the feeling of depression and sadness. For this picture we used "angled strokes".
After editing all the selected pictures, now was the time to adjust them. For that, we simply selected the image and then by going in "edit > paste special > paste into, the picture finally adjusts into the selected portion.
In order to create the CD hole, we used rulers & guides, which helped us to make the perfect circle.
In the above picture, we finally adjusted all our pictures and now was the time to add the text over it.
For the back cover,by following the conventions, we adjusted the bar-code at the left bottom and wrote the names of the "team members" and the "cast" along with the songs name which was "No Promises" and it's time duration. "Drop shadows" and "outer glow" was used in order to enhance the texts.
For the front cover, we used the main leads individual picture and we took the inspiration from the "Taylor Swifts" album cover "fearless". By downloading the "Arty signature" from the internet, we added the singers name along with the songs name and gave the "inner glow" and "drop shadow effect" so that the text stands out. Maroon color was used to write the singers name "Mashaal" as it complements with her red dress.
According to the conventions, the same "arty signature" was put up right in the center of the CD cover along with the DVD logo and anti-piracy warnings and rights were added at the right side of the picture vertically on a white rectangle and we decreased the rectangles opacity so that the maroon text stands out.
